MEET OUR STAFF
Our swim teachers and sales staff make the difference. They will go above and beyond to make you feel right at home.
Patrick - Swim TeacherPatrick has been working at Tom's for a year. He was a lifeguard and coached swim team for seven years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas where he already has a BA in Biology and is a Major in Marine Science.
Gabby - Swim TeacherGabby has been teaching at Tom's for a year, but she has life guarded and taugh swim lessons for a few years now. Also, Gabby is a Certified Water Safety Instructor. She currently is a student at The University of Texas.
Haley - Swim Teacher
Haley has been a swim teacher for the last two years but is one of our newer staff to Tom's. She grew up around the pool, at Gus & Goldie's in Brownsville, TX, and was also part of her high school's varsity swim team. She is currently attending the University of Texas majoring in Radio-Television-Film. Also, Haley's favorite animal is a dachshund.
Emily - Swim Teacher
Miss Emily comes from a competitive swimmer background. She has taught swim lessons for the past 5 years previous to working at Tom's. She is majoring in school in Film Studies. She enjoys music, baking, and loves making arts and crafts.
Lindsay- Swim Teacher
Lindsay has worked at Tom's for about 9 months as a Swim Instructor. She is a student at Texas State University studying Marketing. She previously was a Lifeguard at Schlitterbahn. She enjoys playing tennis and golf. Her favorite lessons to teach are Preschool lessons and Child Level 1.
Laurissa - Swim Teacher
Laurissa is new to Tom's, but not to teaching swim lessons. Laurissa has two years experience teaching swim and has her Water Safety Instruction Certification. She has taught at the YMCA and lifeguarded for the City of Austin, as well as tutored students and has done babysitting. Laurissa currently attends Reagan High School and Austin Community College. She is very enthusiastic about swimming. Her goal in teaching swim is to help teach children not to be afraid of the water and have fun while swimming.
